One address, answered by a person.

What you need Where to write
Anything about the app, an account, or an appeal [email protected]
A privacy request — a copy of your data, a correction, a deletion [email protected]
A security vulnerability [email protected]

Common things

I cannot sign in

Use Forgot password on the sign-in screen. If the email does not arrive, check the address you registered with — for security we send the same response whether or not an account exists, so a typo looks identical to a successful send.

I want to delete my account

Settings → Your account → Delete account. The full detail of what is removed is on the deletion page.

Somebody is bothering me

Block them, which stops them contacting you immediately and does not tell them, and report them if they broke the guidelines.

My account was suspended

Write to [email protected] from the address on the account. Someone other than the person who made the decision will review it.

I am not getting notifications

Check that notifications are allowed for JessChat in your phone’s settings. If you declined the permission when the app first asked, iOS and Android will not ask again — you have to turn it back on there.

On Android, also check that battery optimisation is not restricting the app: calls need it to be allowed to run in the background to ring reliably.

A call did not ring

On iPhone, an incoming call should take over the screen like a phone call, even when the app is closed. If it arrives as a quiet banner instead, or not at all, open Settings → JessChat and check that notifications are allowed; a call cannot ring on a device that has them switched off. Focus and Do Not Disturb will also silence it unless you allow JessChat through.

On Android, a call rings through a notification channel of its own. If it is silent, check Settings → Apps → JessChat → Notifications and make sure the calls channel has a sound.

Reporting a vulnerability

Write to [email protected] with enough detail to reproduce it. We will acknowledge within three working days. Please do not access, modify, or delete data belonging to anybody else while investigating, and give us reasonable time to fix it before publishing.
